Hi, first of all, first post here so my apologies if this has been answered as i couldnt find it.

Basically I have parallels 7, fully updated and using windows 7, i havent done much more than just installation (Of Windows) and configured the VM to run the full extent of my graphics card, alot of my RAM and 2 cores so that i can play Skyrim.

My main question, as I was unable to figure out how to install bootcamp, is whether it is possible to adapt Parallels so that it works like Bootcamp. So that the Mac OS closes down and just shifts everything (hardware) over to the Windows OS. I think that about explains what it was I wanted to do, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hoping and praying this isn't like other troll-ridden forums :)

No, not in the way you are imagining it.

You should take a look in the Parallels Desktop User Guide for Bootcamp to see how to set it up.
Basically you can set up Bootcamp totally independently from Parallels, there's an OS X app in Appllications/Utilities called Bootcamp Assistant.app, this will walk you thru the process of partition your hard drive and setting up a partition with Windows on it, this partition can later be used by Parallels as a VM to.

This is the only way to have all hardware dedicated to Windows (close down OS and shift all hardware to Windows as you said). And this is achieved without any intervention from Parallels, basically you just reboot and boot into the other OS. This also means you will have to setup Windows from scratch in Bootcamp, as you can't (easily) transfer the VM you created to a bootcamp partition (there are ways, but it's rather technical and time consuming).

To clarify, Parallels can't close OS X and give all hardware to Windows, Parallels runs on OS X, it could never do that, there's no way to turn off OS X and go into Window without rebooting. What you probably want is a Bootcamp partition with Windows which you may or may not also want to use in Parallels running in OS X.
