Since upgrading to Mountain Lion and Parallels 8, some basic functions are no longer working. Running XP on virtual machine, desktop iMac. Before upgrades, I used to be able to drag files from the Finder onto the Windows desktop window, and drop them there. Usually it would be stuff temporarily stashed for the purpose on my Mac desktop, but I could also drag email attachments, etc. Also, could copy text and graphics from documents in the Mac side and they would be available on the XP clipboard for pasting into Word or whatever. Now none of this occurs. The only way I can get copy from the Mac side is to go into "Open File" in an XP application, and drill through the hierarchy over to the Mac side until I get to the document or object, and open it from there, into the Windows application, then save into Windows. Big hassle! Is there a way to fix? Did I install something wrong? Is there a setting I am missing?
Thank you, yes, that worked, now I can drag things. I guess weak (as opposed to "power") users like me will generally miss these things and have to ask.
