I found a situation where I need to run Big Sur for compatibility with some older software that will not work on Monterey. Are there any problems and is there a preferred method for installation for a Big Sur virtual machine guest on a Monterey host system running as an M1 based system?

Hello @ylluminate, We would like to inform you that Mac OS BigSur is not supported as a guest OS virtual machine on Apple silicon (M1/ M2) Macs. Please refer to this KB article to check the Supported Guest Operating Systems (Mac with Apple M-series chip).
