I've looked and looked, googled and googled but I can't find a single solution to choppy audio in Vista running in Parallels. And to think I paid $50 for this stinking "upgrade".
Well, Parallels 5 ain't bad, really; compare it to VMWare's poor offering which isn't half as good when it comes to graphics or speed. The audio issue, I'm sure, will be solved by Parallels at some point. I've set the audio driver to play sounds at 11.025 kHz which makes for muffled sound but at least it ain't choppy.
Martin, Ouch. I run Parallels in full screen only and have turned off the coherence service in Windows, so I can't enter coherence and have never seen that crash. (In fact I've had Parallels crash on me only twice, and both times I kinda provoked that... by fooling with the services on the Mac side.)
