I am on the trial of Parallels and most everything is running smoothly, except (for the moment) this one quirk. When displaying a query result in Access and then selecting analyze in Excel from the tools option in the Access menu bar Mac Numbers opens on the Mac side instead of Excel on the Parallels side.

I know this action is probably something most do not get involved with, but hoping someone might have a clue as to what setting, whether in Parallels or Windows, needs to be adjusted.

    27" iMac OS 10.7.4 16gb
    Parallels W7 4gb memory assigned
Windows XP Pro SP3 with all 121 or so Windows updates, going back to the invention of the napkin, installed.

    Resolved!

For some reason although Excel was installed, it was not associated with the .xls extension. I created an excel file and then did an "open with" and "all files like it". That allowed the access query results to be opened by excel.
