Hi - I like to be able to make archival backups of some of my DVD's, esp the kids ones that get eaten up within a couple months. I usually use bootcamp and run DVDFab decrypter as every time I try to run the same program within Parallels I get corrupted images.

Any thoughts on why this might be? both are windows, both running the same program, and both accessing the DVD drive (albeit Parallels via different drivers).

Would love to hear any suggestions as it's a pain to take down a computer for 1/2hr just to archive a dvd....

    thanks for any thoughts

Use MacTheRipper and Toast 7. Who needs a PC when you have a Mac?

unfortunately even the latest build of MacTheRipper doesn't seem to work too well with some of the new DVD's, which is why I've been using XP (doh!)
    thanks for the reply though

Oh well. It's worked for me, but I guess I don't have the latest DVDs. Parallels' driver doesn't read the code tracks (yet).

I'm waiting for total USB pass through so I can use my external DVD burner and solve my problems. Note that you can't burn disks via Parallels at this time either.
