Just installed build 9.3.10 (again the trial version as I'm running Parallels in German and the German version isn't out yet... a language independent installer would be a god-send!) and this is what I found:

_Speed: somewhat increased (judged from playing Battle for Middle Earth).
_Interaction with the Mac: Very much improved. Switching resolutions, for instance, used to take up to 20 seconds when the VM's memory was really full. No more of that - switching resolutions is really fast. (I keep my Mac's resolution aligned with the VM resolution.) Switching to a Mac application happens faster. Using a Mac application while the VM is running is faster, too. I haven't tried the time sync thing that had prevented Windows Live Mail from functioning - I just don't keep the time between the VM and the Mac synched; if I need to update the VM's clock because I'd put the VM to sleep, I use 'w32tm /resync' (which I copied to an Editor document and saved as a batch file) which synchs the VM's clock with an internet time server.

    Good job! Thanks, Parallels team!

    New issue since build 9.3.08:
_The Windows Performance Index gives me an Aero performance of 2.0. It used to be 2.0 on the original Parallels 5 build, but had increased to 3.9 with the 9.3.08 build. Now it's back to 2.0. Odd. However, I don't notice that Aero on 9.3.10 is particularly slower than 9.3.08. (I recently played with a very thin and elegant Sony laptop that ran Windows 7... that Sony had an Aero index of 2.4 and it really had issues with Aero... so I guess that the Performance Index is not to be taken too seriously.)

Issues that have not yet been resolved since the original Parallels 5.0 release, at least not on my setup:
_Loading the Parallels Tools Service and the Parallels Coherence Service at startup prevents the VM to switch its resolution back after I play a game in 800x600 resolution. Workaround 1: manually re-set VM resolution after game has finished. Workaround 2: Prevent the Tools Service and the Coherence Service from loading at startup (use msconfig). Since I run Parallels in full screen only I don't figure I need the Coherence Service, and I haven't found out what the Tools Service does. (The Parallels Tools Service is not the same as the Parallels Tools 5.0 application which *must* load at system start, otherwise there's no copy-and-paste between the Mac and Parallels... and the usefulness of Parallels would be vastly decreased for me.)
_Not having the mouse set to "Smart Mouse" prevents the mouse cursor from being visible in some (not all) games. Not a big issue but I really don't like the choppy cursor animations.
_Setting the sound to more than 11.025 kHz leads to choppy sound in some games.

    My setup:
The lowest-spec current Mac (an MBAir 1.6 GHz with 2 GB of Ram and an NVidia 9400)
The VM is running Windows 7, has 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of Graphics Memory (3D on) assigned to it, is running off a 32 Gig virtual hard drive, and I don't use Boot Camp. Adaptive Hypervisor is off. Performance is optimised for Mac OS X applications. I tinkered with the config.pvs file a bit.

Again, thanks! Keep up the good work.
