I am using Parallels beta build 3106 on a MacBook, running MacOSX 10. 4.8. Since the first new beta came out, I have been running my VM off of my Boot Camp partition.

I routinely need to boot my MacBook into XP via Boot Camp to host WebEx meetings for work purposes, because Parallels still doesn't seem very stable when hosting WebEx. I can live with that for now, though I'd love to be able to host my WebExes in Parallels. Anyway, that's not the point of this post, only the background.

With that background in mind, since Build 3106 (and possibly 3094, but I didn't check this out in that build), I have been running into the following issues:

    1. Bluetooth no longer works when I boot my MacBook into Boot Camp. The Bluetooth device controller(s) show up in Device Manager, but there is no control panel entry for Bluetooth, so I can't use my BT mouse. This was not the case prior to (and possibly including) Build 3094. I hate to point the finger, but I do suspect it's the HW profile trickery Parallels is using that is somehow causing this behavior.

    2. Every time I start my BootCamp VM in Parallels, it reinstalls Parallels tools (or says it is, via the big graphical overlay on my VM screen as it's booting).

    3. I use Windows Live OneCare, which as part of its install, installs a specific patch that changes the Windows build level. WLOC virus scanning doesn't work without that patch. Every time I boot into *either* Boot Camp native *or* Boot Camp VM, the build level seems to have regressed (and hence Windows Live OneCare isn't able to turn in virus checking). In turn, I have to manually re-install the patch from WLOC, but it's gone again by the next time I reboot.

Is anyone else running into any of these issues with build 3106?

I am obviously a newb and can't even find how to post a new thread :-\ on this forum but have a quick question about parallels tools:
I installed build 1970 then installed beta3 (3106) today; however, when I try to run parallels tools (after being logged in to XP) get the following message - "do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its features?" which looks like an uninstall procedure to me... so I select 'no.' How do you get the tools installed? Any help, would be great!

    They are installed!
If they were not installed OR the wrong version you would be notified.
You should see a Parallels logo in your Windows System tray.
Right click and open - all tools should be enabled.

IF NOT - Boot in Safe Mode
Move mouse to Parallels Console window and run Install Tools from there.
