I have not used any beta versions. My installation started with a downloaded trial, then installed from CD when it arrived then upgraded to version 1970. When I go to full screen mode I usually get a message that my version of tools is inconsistent with my version of parallels. When I do a "about parallels tools" on the icon it reports version 1970.....Usually I just clck the close button on the annoying message but why do I get this? I have already tried the normal "install tools" which does the removal, restart, then "install tools" to reinstall...same result... 20" C2D iMac Phil
Parallels Tools doesn't even start for me.... I'm having a similar problem: I'm running XP in Parallels desktop and after upgrading to 1970 the message telling me I should upgrade the tools comes up. In my case the installation doesn't even start. I can seek a "Parallels Tools setup disk" if I open "My Computer" but nothing ever happens.
