Shared folders work for a while for me, but eventually I start getting errors about file handles being exhausted. It appears that this build has a resource leak somewhere - rebooting the VM will fix it for a while.

I have a Mac Pro with 3 GB RAM running OS 10.4.7 build 8K1079 (the one that some people are reporting trouble with), and I'm having absolutely no trouble at all with Parallels (once I solved the slow Internet problem by switching from Bridged Ethernet to Host-only Networking with Shared Internet): shared folders work fine, I get no kernel panics, and it is OK with my 3 GB of RAM.

However, the one thing I'm wondering about is whether my lack of problems is due to my using a Windows XP Home installation that I made before build 1884 came out, back when I was running under the 32-bit legacy workaround. I haven't tried creating a new VM with the RC, and I'd be interested to know if the problem only arises when a new VM is used. I'm curious, but not enough to try it just to see if it works—I don't need a new VM as long as my present one is working, and I firmly subscribe to the old adage (has anyone ever heard of a new adage?) that says, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Still, if anyone wants to bother, it might be worth looking into.
