I really like the idea of being able to use host-only networking, combined with Internet Connection Sharing, to share my Mac OSX internet connection with the guest OS. To be honest, I had my standalone laptop hacked recently, so the idea of having my new Windows laptop :))) sitting behind a little natd firewall is appealing to me.

However, one problem I have is this. Let's say I share my Airport connection to en2, so I'm roaming around the office with nary a care... and then I sit down at the desk and plug in my zippy Gigabit ethernet connection instead. Well, what seems to happen is that, once Mac OSX figures out what's happened and switches over to using wired Ethernet, I can no longer connect to the Internet on the guest!

What I have to do is turn off ICS, switch it over to Ethernet, and turn it back on. In no time at all, all is well again... until I disconnect and decide to roam wirelessly.

I wonder if it's possible to rectify this in any way. As far as I know, the GUI for Internet Connection Sharing can only handle one share at a time, but perhaps natd has more flexibility... any ideas how we can configure natd.conf to autoswitch?
