For some reason, my bridged Wi-Fi network interface stopped working. It had been working for several years and several versions of Parallels just fine as configured. But tonight when I started and re-started my VM (several times), it just wouldn't connect to the Internet. I am presently running Parallels version 10.1.1 (28614). The odd thing is that my Windows VM appeared to be receiving an IP assignment via DHCP and I could ping every active device on my wireless subnet... just not the default gateway! Since I couldn't ping the gateway, I wasn't able to connect to the Internet.

While my Windows VM was showing the same leased IP address as it always had, the default gateway device was reporting my Windows VM as "not connected". I am not running any kind of wireless filtering by MAC on the gateway. If on the Windows VM I manually forced -- within TCP/IPv4 properties for the network adapter -- the IP address and default gateway and DNS to the old settings... it all worked fine! I could ping the default gateway and could ping out to the Internet. So, I am leaving it with hard-coded IP settings, but I would prefer to utilize DHCP. I even tried setting the adapter properties back to DHCP auto, after being hard-coded (thinking that maybe I just had to clear out some setting), but it once again didn't work.

I hadn't used Parallels much in the past month (if at all), so I don't know if it was perhaps due to some strange incompatibility with the Parallels update that I believe occurred in late October 2014, or if it could have been due to some Windows update, or if it could be some strange interaction with my Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 host operating system. As for any anti-virus program that may be suspect... I am running Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) Engine Version: 1.1.11202.0 on the Windows 7 SP1 64-bit guest OS.

As noted, I got it to work via hardcoded adapter settings... and I really have no idea if it is a Parallels issue... but I am posting here in case others encounter something similar and have perhaps found a cause.

I am having the same issue. No connection on the Guess system of my Mac. It's showing as 'not connected'. I am connected on the Host system, so I know it's not Comcast. It must be a Parallels issue somehow.

Asan addendum, I went to my backup on this and was able to restore the last version, and it's working fine now.
