Hi, Running parallels 2.1 for Linux under Dapper and having bridged ethernet problems. I get messages saying the network in the VM (Win2K and another with WinXP) is connected, but it can't get onto the lan to pull an IP through DHCP. Any known fix for this?

    bridged adapter problem - solved

I had the same problem with a fedora core 5 guest installation on a win XP host. The bridged adapter (in Win XP under network devices) was getting a 169.* IP address instead of a 192.* address that I was using on my network. THe gateway and other information was also missing.

I disabled all my firewalls (Windows firewall and Kerio personal firewall) and it started working
