New macbook pro 13 8 gb ram 750 gb harddrive running Lion 10.7.1. I have a full bootcamp partition 350 gb running windows 7 pro. Purchased parallels 6 for mac today from office max now doing the wait for registration key for 7 dance. Installed 7 build 7.0.14920 using a trial registration key. I did not ever install parallels 6. Now running parallels 7 it does not show me my bootcamp when trying New virtual machine. Also the check for updates option is greyed out and it wants me to purchase. Should I be worried? Is this some anomaly that will be fixed once I get my real license key for 7? My bootcamp partition is running just peachy ... and I have lots of backups from both time machine and from windows backup. I guess I could uninstall 7 and go back and see if my bootcamp shows up fine under 6? Are there other diagnostics I should do right now? Thanks in advance! More info. This system is a reinstall of Lion 10.7.1 on a bigger hard drive. Probably not relevant but I chose a different name for the hard drive than the default ( was it Lion HD or Mac HD before ? ) not it is tasha. *** Not sure if relevant but this system was done reinstalling OS lion on top of a new bigger hard drive.
