I have parallels booting off of a virtual HD successfully. I have a Macbook pro with three partitions (osx, vista and an empty unformatted partition). I wanted to set the vista (ntfs) partition to be a second hard drive for parallels so I added that to the config.

My problem is that parallels vista boots up fine in safe mode and allows me to access the second partition. But, it doesn't boot (gets stuck at the vista loading screen - with the moving bars) when i am trying to boot up in normal mode.

What might be the problem? I would love to be able to access the bootcamp vista partition from inside parallels (since osx would only have read access).
