Boot camp before Parallels Desktop 3.0

I recently purchased Parallels Desktop 3.0 Premium Edition and the CD key didn’t work, but that’s a different story (I’ve already email support).

When I purchased Parallels Desktop 3.0 it was suggested to me that I first run boot camp before installing Parallels Desktop 3.0. The sales person mentioned Acronis Disk Director Suite that comes included with the Premium Edition. Is there an advantage/disadvantage to running boot camp first?
