Boolean search - how

Tried to do a boolean search but did not succeed. Did not find any hints by searching "search"
So - how do I search for threads, postings with

used AND another AND application

tried also

+used +another +application

but it didn't work

did you try to use "used another application" as a keyword?

What if I search for postings containing two words not followed one by another? the rec'd solution only fits for the string "used another application".
