Hello everyone, I just finished building a machine for a director in my firm, and afew minutes before he came to pick it up a small Post-it like window appeared on my virtual Windows XP installation... It is smack in the middle of the desktop, it has a 'x' on the top right corner, but when you click it it does not close. It also has an 'i' in the top left corner. In the bottom it has a timer set to 00:00:00 (or is it something else?) Also, it stays on top of any other windows. Has anyone seen it? Is there a way to get rid of it? I had to give the machine to the user/tester, but he sure wasn't too happy about it. Any input would be highly appreciated. Here's the stats: MBP, 2GB, 2.33GHz Parallels 3188 VM: Windows XP with 1024 MB memory and our corp. image Thank you much in advance!
Found the culprit... Found it It turns out that the culprit for this small blank Window is the Altiris Agent running on the virtual machine. As I mentioned, this is our corporate image and we are using Altiris to manage our PCs. Now, I still don't know why/how it comes up... Has anyone alse had experience with managed VMs (with Altiris in particular?) M.
