Every time I launch Beta 4, I now get a message that another application is using VMX mode, and that it should be turned off. This didn't happen with Beta 2 or 3, and I am making sure there are no other applications running (and have looked through the Activity Monitor for anything new, and didn't see anything).

    any ideas?

    Thanks!

Try to reboot your Mac. It is most likely VT-x mode is stuck switching on. Cold reboot should fix it.

A reboot of my Mac fixed this issue for me.

I had this problem as well. It happened when I paused a VM and then quit Parallels Workstation. I think it wasn't done pausing. I figured a reboot would fix it and it did.

Figured I should share my experience.

    reboot Mac when update PW

I would suggest to add this in the FAQ.
I was in trouble when testing beta3. However, it was occasionally resolved when I was asked to
reboot the Mac due to a kernel panic. Obviously, kernel extensions should be reloaded.

p.s. Beta4 is just fine for the moment!
