I've always considered myself fairly savvy on computers until the mash of mac and windows using parallels. Now I feel like I've never touched a computer before. I am running Parallels 8 for mac and windows 8 (which I'm very unfamiliar with also). I received an e-mail on the mac side with a link to download an .exe file (minitab). I pressed the link from the e-mail and it allowed me to save the .exe file. The file now resides in the finder window on the mac in windows 8 applications where it seems it should be. The problem is that when I click on it, nothing happens. It starts to open Parallels, but just hangs there at the starting windows 8 window. I can't see it when I open up parallels / windows 8 at all to open it from within windows. Am I supposed to go into windows 8 and download only from there? I tried pasting the link into internet explorer from inside windows, but it wouldn't pull the page up and let me save the file like it does on the mac in firefox. I guess I'm not really sure how the system actually is supposed to work. I bought the product with promises that it is so easy to use, but there's not a lot of info on the basic stuff. Any help in getting me to be able to use this program in windows would be greatly appreciated. None of my windows 8 applications are showing in my local C drive from within windows 8 (ie microsoft office, etc.).
