I installed system 10.6.8 on my Mac and now I can't open Parallels Desktop. I get Not responding and I need to force quite. I had Parallels Tech on the phone for two hours and he could not help me. He needed to go to the next level for help. Any suggestions???? I get this on my permissions which tells me it is in parallels----Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
I don't know where you got the idea that that message is Parallels related, but the ARDAgent message in permission repair is not Parallels related and it's a normal message that looks worst than actually is, and should just be ignored (if you don't believe me, just Google for it for hours till you reach an apple kb article that says it's harmless and should be ignored).
Now, about your Parallels related problem. From what I can read from the little information you provide is that you upgraded your Mac OS X to 10.6.8 and Parallels stop working? (this is what you wrote) Simple question, what version of Parallels do you have? (I'm not sure, but versions prior to 4 aren't compatible with 10.6.x) If it's a recent version, have you tried uninstalling using the uninstaller and installing again?
