I'm just now starting to look into using paralles for AutoCad on a Mac Pro.

My really basic question is: can parallels be installed on it's own hard drive seperate from the drive containing OS X so as to kedep both operating systems and data completely seperate?

I have a Mac Pro with a second 500GB hard drive. You put the Parallels app on your main OS hard drive and then you can put the WinXP install and files on your second drive. I have Autocad installed this way and it works perfect. I used this with release 1970 and am now using it with release 3110.
