So, I know that in the GUEST OS you can type in the IP address of the host machine to access it (e.g. http requests). Many people will use this set up to test web apps in windows. So this will be a very common thing. But this is a pain because you always have to change the IP you are going to if your IP address on the HOST changes. Even worse, you can't do it at all if you aren't connected to a network. So if I am on a plane, I can't do some development work. What would be great is if there were a reserved IP address in the guest os (say 127.0.0.2) that whenever hit by the guest OS would route the request to the loopback interface on the HOST machine (e.g. 127.0.0.1). that would be KILLER!!! Is it possible?
