    I am in need of coming up with an automated / hands free way of getting the Parallels Tools installed for at least Windows 2000 and XP Pro. Scripted install would be acceptable.

    I have the Parallels Video driver already correctly installing in our environment, from the files that were in the vmtools.iso file.

    PrlMouse however did not win the driver election process, but I have not tried push installing that driver INF file yet. Pushing that driver might fix that one.

    How many other drivers are needed / anyone have a list of exactly what the setup program of Parallels Tools actually does?

    Thanks!

    Close / Not Success Still

    The Parallels Tools installer is built with InstallShield, which this page explains well how to automate such installers:

    http://unattended.sourceforge.net/installers.php

    However, something goes wrong when I tried doing a scripted install. The PrlTools.exe seems to give a bad return code, and no files have been installed, but the install directory is at least there. Log follows:

    [InstallShield Silent]

    Version=v7.00

    File=Log File

    [ResponseResult]

    ResultCode=-3

    [Application]

    Name=Parallels Tools

    Version=2.2

    Company=Parallels

    Lang=0009

    So, are instructions available about how to do a successful silent install of Parallels Tools?
