Currently running Parallels 10 (and a LOT of other Mac applications) on an older i5 machine under Yosemite 10.9.5
    I purchased a newer (2012 i7) Mac yesterday - also running 10.9.5 - and a fresh copy of Parallels 11.

My question relates to the best way to get all my apps over to the newer Mac.

Given that Apple's Migration Assistant migrates ALL applications (you cannot pick & choose) which to migrate, what's the best way to get all my stuff migrated WITHOUT screwing things up as far as Parallels is concerned. I want to continue running Parallels 10 on the older machine.

    Do I:
    a) Use Migration Assistant and move everything over - then trash Parallels 10 on the new machine - and then install Parallels 11 on the new machine?
    or
    b) Hand migrate apps over to the new machine one-by-one, never migrating Parallels 10?

If I use Migration Assistant and Parallels 10 comes over to the new machine, what's the correct way to delete all traces of it before I Install Parallels 11 on the new machine?
