I have an Epson Stylus CX7800 all-in one printer which is installed in xp with the epson drivers. Auto-connect is on in the USB options but doesn't work. When I manually turn on the USB I get an Apple error message "Epson scan cannot be started, please use troubleshooting assistant to solve the problem." When I click on the printer icon it says that my printer is not connected and that I should check the connections. I have tried Bonjour and the generic driver is incredibley slow. For some strange reason the scanner functions in the VM but the printer doesn't. If I click print IMMEDIATELY after turning on the usb port it will sometimes print a page before losing the connection. I have tried nearly all of the suggestions in the forum with little success. Is there a way to disable the scanner on the apple side? Would this fix my problem? I love my new 20in IMAC and would like to abandon windows altogether, but I'm the secretary of a golf league so I need xp and the ability to print. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
