Alternatives to use Camera in Mac VM

I'm aware of the Apple limitations and I know I cannot connect the FaceTime HD camera of the macbook directly to the VM or use any usb devices as webcam, but is it possible to use the camera inside the VM using the Continuity feature in the iPhone? I tried logging in icloud in the VM but it doesn't seem to recognize any camera.

 

I am experiencing a similar issue. I cannot see the application to grant camera permission in the system settings on macOS. The virtual machine is currently unable to use the camera. Can someone help?
