    Hey guys,

First of all, I know this is a new account but for some reason my old one wasn't working for some reason...anyway on to business!

I am a pretty loyal mac user, however I am actually writing this on my gaming rig as I love playing hardcore PC games!!! Anyway, my mom and pop are both mac-only users. My mom got her first mac in like 89' I believe or 91' or something like that. She purchased a iMac in 05' and a macbook in 06' for her and my dad. The laptops work like a charm still, never even re-installed this whole time! the 05' iMac was given to a friend, plus we couldn't take only 2 gigs of 447 ram as the limit! So here is where my thought process actually starts lol.

We have been trying for about 8 months to get my mom a new iMAc. We first got the 24" model and it had all these weird problems such as:

    Taking 15-30 mins to boot
    Not recognizing a cd/dvd
    Working REALLY SLOW
not staying in sleep mode for more than 2 secs

So we finally traded it for a new one, by this time the 21.5 and 27" where out! Yeepie!! - But Wait!!
The 27" was doing most the same things!! So we return that and get a 21.5" same F'ing things!!!! AHHH!! So now we have just gotten our money back. There are some more things you should know though.

All computers where purchased from bestbuy
All other Macs (Mine and my dad's) where purchased directly from apple and we never had a single problem EVER!! (So Far hehe)

What I want to know is if anyone has had a like-situation or heard of anything like this. My thoughts where that now that so many people are buying macs that apple might have downgraded some "less essential" hardware to mainstream it? Please let me know your thoughts!

Also we have spent countless hours with apple on the phone, at geek squad and personal exprie3nce fixing comps my self. Things like a soft and hard reset of thew ram, re-installations and such. The weirdest part...not once did they find a problem!! Although we are talking of geek squad haha, every time I give them one of my comps all they do is run a diagnostic disk and if it comes up with an error they ship it to Kansas or something.

Thanks for your time and I am sorry for the length of this post, this has been really bothering me though!

And this is related to Parallels in what way or form?
Apple has it's own user forums.
