Can I add a BootCamp partition after I've setup Parallels and the virtual machine without the partition? What's the process if it is possible? Specifications: MBP: 10.9.1 Parallel Build 9.0.24172 VM: Windows 7 Professional I didn't create a BootCamp partition when I first setup my new MBP with the intention of conserving space on the SSD. I installed Parallels, the virtual machine and the Windows applications I typically use and everything has been working fine. However, I need to run Revit (CAD software) that is only Windows compatible and requires access to the full performance of the graphics cards. Running in the virtual machine Revit just doesn't work therefore, I need to reconfigure the setup to put Windows on a BootCamp partition which will allow me to run Revit utilizing the full performance of the MBP when I boot directly into Windows (Too bad Parallels can't be updated to allow full use of the graphic cards).
Yes and no. You can create a new Windows Bootcamp installation using Bootcamp Assistant.app, and install a new copy of Windows on it. You cannot, however, simply move the existing VM to bootcamp unless you are very familiar with cloning and moving Windows installations between different hardware manually.
