ActiveSync is crashing on me partially through a sync. Here are my specs. MacBook Pro Parallels 3.0 (5582) ActiveSync 4.5.0 ATT Tilt (HTC Kaiser) running WM6 The device is recognized, but will not complete a sync. It completes properly on my Dell notebook. Any idea where to start looking?
Have you tried re-installing ActiveSync? What type of device are you trying to sync with? The Tilt? Did you restart after installing ActiveSync? What are your USB devices set to do when you connect them to your computer? Auto-connect? Ask you?
Have you tried re-installing ActiveSync? >> Yes, twice What type of device are you trying to sync with? The Tilt? >> Yes Did you restart after installing ActiveSync? >> Yes, numerous times What are your USB devices set to do when you connect them to your computer? Auto-connect? Ask you? >> I haven't changed any of those settings, so I am assuming it is set to Auto-connect. It does not seem to have any problem connecting. I can actually install software, but sync crashes. For example, I installed TenGO to my Tilt from Parallels/Windows and it worked great. So, connecting does not seem to be a problem.
I'm having the exact same problem. Hi all I have the exact same problem, ActiveSync 4.5 unexpectedly crashes after a few seconds. iMac 2.8GHz, Paralles build 5582, USB cable, HP iPaw 5935. Thanks for help. Simion
Hellos Parallels Support, I am having the exact same issue. Having all done it connects sync's and randomly gets dis connected. Same Active Sync works perfectly fine using Bluetooth which only means the issue is with USB. I have tried both the RDNIS Mode and Serial Switch mode. It simply does'nt work. I am using the latest build 5584 & Winxp SP3 & Leopard 10.5.1 I do not want to loose Bluetooth connection for syncing alone. Let us know the next steps i am a potential buyer for couple of licenses for my office managers Cheers
Install the tools again Taurus Unfortunately, it seems that the Parallels support doesn't visit their forum. So don't count on an answer from them... (I have used their online support as well, it works, but needs some nerves, too). I had the same issue, and reinstalling the Parallels Tools (from the Mac Parallels menu) cured the problem. So try that... -Simon
re-install the tools??? Sorry, my answer should go to you ;-) I wrote: Hi Taurus, thanx for your suggestion. But re-installing didn´t solve my problem :-(( Tasks are not synced at all and calendar entries only from the PDA (htc diamond 2) to the Mac BookPro (bearing Win XP Pro under Parallels current (german) version. But I remember: the problem started around the time I updated to the current Parallels platform. May be that caused the problem ... regards, Tom
