I have a new MacBook and am not using Migration Assistant as I am cleaning out unused programs, etc. Also, I can't copy pvm file as I have switched from W7 to W10.

I'm temporarily using 14 day trial of Parallels on the new Mac. If I deactivate the license on the old Mac so that I can activate the license on the new Mac, will I be able to access the VM on the old machine for any period of time, or it's unavailable immediately?

Hello Beermati, If you deactivate the license in your old Mac then you cannot access the virtual machine, Instead you can transfer the Parallels Desktop and the Windows virtual machine to your new Mac. Kindly follow the instructions from this link .

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if the VM would transfer between W7 to W10 and, also, I wanted to cleanup the programs, so I did a fresh install. I'll just keep the new machine on trial and transfer the license when trial runs out.
