Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with bridged mode networking and accessing IIS on the virtual machine. I need to have it in bridged mode so I can access IIS via a 192.168.0.xxx on my network. Here is the problem. Parallels version: Parallels 5 (Build 5.0.9344) Guest OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 Mac host: Macbook running OS X 10.6.3 So, when I first start up my virtual machine, I have bridged networking on with an IP address of 192.168.0.55 assigned to the guest OS. I can go to any browser on any machine on my network and ping to this IP address and also browse the IIS websites on the guest OS from any other machine. I simply disconnect my macbook (running parallels and the virtual machine) from my network, and the virtual machine reports no connection. I then connect back to my network and the virtual machine get's a connection back with the same IP address 192.168.0.55. Within the virtual machine I can browse the internet and the local IIS websites. I can ping the IP address of the virtual machine from any other machine, BUT now I can't browse any IIS websites on the guest OS (from other machines). I have to restart the virtual machine to once again be able to browse its IIS from other machines. When this happens I have tried repairing the network connection, changing the IP address, restarting IIS, nothing - the only thing that works is to restart the virtual machine. Any ideas? It's strange that I can ping to the virtual machine when this happens but can't get IIS web sites in the browser! Regards George
