access external drives

Is there a way to access my external USB drive via pararrels? I few days ago I came across a link where someone was able to do this ... but now I cannot remember where I saw it.

I use SharePoints on OSX and create a shre of that drive, enabling smb sharing. then you can go to the network places on Windows, open computers near me, open your OS X computer name, then view your shared drive. You can create a desktop shortcut on windows for quick access, Works great for me.

 

Thanks for the tip .... this is a very good program. much easier than the last hack I had to do.
