I downloaded the DVD iso for 64 bit CentOS 5.6 and have tried to do the install from Parallels. After selecting whether I want the GUI or text version in the Linux installer, I get an error that says "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32 bit distribution." I'm on an older MacBook Pro with a Core Duo CPU. As far am I'm aware, that should support 64 bit. Is there a setting in Parallels to make this compatible with a 64 bit distro of CentOS?
OK... I'm a dummy. I assumed the original Core Duo was 64 bit, but it isn't. Just in case anyone else goes down this road, take note.
