    Hi,

I'm experiencing some strange problems with my guest OS in Parallels. I'm running the latest Workstation build on Gutsy on a Intel Core 2 Duo (64bit) (my new laptop).

I'm using a guest image (linux - centos 3) that was created on a Intel Centrino (32bit) machine (my old laptop). The image when booted on the new (64bit) machine seems to work but I'm experiencing some problems when building RPM's (compilation issues).

Looking at /cat/proc/cpuinfo on the guest it's showing as an Intel Core 2 Duo, which concerns me as the original image was built on a Centrino based machine ...

I suspect the issue is due to some other problem, but could a switch of guest OS from a host of 32bit to 64bit be causing my issues ?

And if not, how can a machine configured/installed for one architecture (the 32 bit one) work correctly on a machine that now shows (via cpuino) that it's 64bit ?

    Thanks !
