3.0 Upgrade Installation Problem

I am having trouble installing Parallels 3.0 upgrade onto my iMac (OS 10.5.1) Intel Core 2 Duo.

I have looked at your knowledge base and did the recommendations listed in "Problems with Installing or Running Parallels Desktop" including running Disk Utility and uninstalling my prior version.

The installer hangs up upon running the Parallels Desktop Installer Script. I get to about 1% of the installer bar then nothing.

I cannot seem to get beyond this point in the installation process and have tried the workaround several times.
