Interesting - I saw a post on a different website (Macrumors.com) talking about the Parallels 3.0 release. I came over here, and started reading about pre-orders and special upgrade pricing, and how "all registered users have been notified". Looked in my email again... nope, haven't seen anything at all from Parallels about this. For that matter, I haven't seen anything at all from Parallels in 2007, other than an automated response regarding a bug report I filed last January and another in March - wasn't someone supposed to respond to those within three business days?

I just sent an email asking about the 3.0 release/upgrade to [email protected], and got the automated response promising a reply... within three business days. Guess I'd better not hold my breath.

We'll see if I hear back prior to VMware's release.

A number of people found their email in junk folders. Perhaps yours did not survive anti-spam tools. I had that very problem yesterday with Ebay.

i remember a few days ago someone posting spamassassin headers for their update notices. They did fall foul of a lot of spam rules.

No - I'm a sysadmin, and learned a long time ago to check my junk folder regularly (usually daily). :D

Thanks for the info - but weren't we existing customers supposed to have been given the chance to pre-order the upgrade for $39.99 rather than $49.99? That's what it says in a "Ben's Blog" posting dated June 1.

You're not alone. I didn't get an email either ... not in my regular mail box, nor in my junk. However, after I saw the spamassassin score posted a few days ago, I guessed it probably didn't survive my ISP's filter.
