3.0 keeps crashing after installation

I am very frustrated what does it take to get an answer.
I am trying to install parallels 3.0 on a mac running 10.5.7. It keeps crashing after installation.

 

I'm having the same problem with our version 3.0 build 4128.0 - I don't see a way to DL a newer install without upgrading to (and we've just not got the budget at this time for two reason, State of Illinois has not approved budget, & as an edu, we've little to spare anyway.)

I tried the procedure http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790 with verifying permissions and deleting files in terminal and verifying permissions with no success.

Any other suggestions? I've got to have this running mission critical accounting apps asap. Help appreciated.

There is actually a link posted to the latest build of 3.0 version, so no upgrade is needed.
If you experience the same behavior, i.e. "The application Parallels Destop quit unexpectedly" then the solution should be exactly the one you tried: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790 with the exception that the latest build downloaded is required to perform uninstall/install of Parallels.
