I can't get it to work. I have the latest beta client for linux and after I connect and try to print something to 2x Universal Printer , I get the following error : "Your client does not support 2x Virtual Printing"

I am running Ubuntu 8.1 . How can I get universal printing to work ?

    Thank you

Is this still the current status?

i.e. Does the current production version 4.3 client for Linux support Universal printing? Or, is it only available in the beta release of 6.1 for Linux?

    Thanks

neither 4.3 or 6.1 linux clients support universal printing at this time.

A new linux final client is due out Q1 2009

You know...I have been sent around in circles for the past year regarding the Linux client. I have heard over and over and over again that a stable Linux client will be ready "early next quarter" or "within a could weeks." As a software company servicing corporate entities such as myself, it's really hard to put trust in a vendor that has continually given false promises. I know developing software on different platforms is difficult. But if I have gotten "excited" about an upcoming release only to be disappointed. We have over 200 computers running a Linux platform and cannot move forward with 2X because the client is a nightmare to support. I reluctantly just renewed my support contract with 2X and will give it one more year. If there isn't more continued development in Linux I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Please...be honest with us. If the client isn't close, tell us.

Thank you. I will step off my box now..
