Hi there, we've got a bit of a problem here. We run a 2X ApplicationServer Farm (8.1 build 930) with 8 W2K3 Enterprise terminal servers. All machines are HP BL460C Blade servers and exist in the same C7000 Enclosure. One of the backup servers has something strange. This is an image of the extended log of the Backup Server: And here is an image of the extended log of the Master server: As you can see, the backup server disconnects. It does that every 5 seconds. Both servers are in the same network, so they don't communicate through a firewall. All nics are teamed through HP's teaming software. We allready updated the firmware of the nics, disabled teaming, tried reinstalling windows, placed the server in another bay. But unfortunately nothing helps. Thanks in advance. Johan van Amersfoort
hi, I suggest to test using v9.0.1073 (or later) (located at http://downloads.2x.com/#appserver) as v9 includes various improvements and fixes ,for a detailed change log kindly visit http://www.2x.com/downloads/AppServer-L ... ngeLog.txt also If it is possible I suggest to set backup server on a separate machine. Regards,
We've got 2 backup servers, one of them is working normal. TS001 = Master TS002 = Backup Server (problem) TS003 = Backup Server (works) We will try to update the farm next monday, but If I choose the update option in the VDS Console, it tells me that no updates are available.
HI, I suggest to perform a manual upgrade the latest .msi file is located at http://www.2x.com/downloads/vds/2XVDS.msi Regards,
We upgraded to version 9. At first we thought that the problems were solved, but unfortunately they aren't although the symptoms have changed. Instead of continuesly connecting/disconnecting in the logfiles, it now seems that the agent isn't found in "Terminal Servers":
hi, The issue appears to be with TS002 machine,I suggest to take the following steps. 1)Try to address your terminal server By ip instead of Dns names. 2)Make sure all ms patches and updates are applied. 3)also if it is possible to setup a new testing terminal server. 4)for further information on the kindly check the Terminal server Event viewer.
