I am interested in using parallels for just a couple of windows apps and wanted to see if and how well they would work under a VM environment. First off does Parallels support the internal airport xpress? I don't use a wired network so wireless to get online is key.

Second is Paltalk a Windows vido chat application. if I can get online with airport i am sure the app works but does the internal imac isight cam work as well?

Lastly I use a program called Guitar rig which uses a usb box as an audio input into the program.
There is an OSX version of it but at 500 bucks I don't want to re-buy.

If you could let me know about these few things I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks

I use Airport with Parallels on my MBP. It's worked flawlessly from day one.

    No. Not as of today.

Maybe. Youll have to try it. An increasing number of USB things work, but not all.

    thanks!

Thanks for the reply. i guess the best thing to do is install it and try it out. My only other worry is that it seems hard to uninstall in order to load boot camp. any truth to this?

An uninstaller comes with it which will remove the app itself, and prevent the installed kernel extensions from loading. It may remove those as well -- I haven't checked. It leaves some preference files that you will probably want if you reinstall, but you can remove them by removing any directory you find named parallels. You can remove your VMs (the real space grabbers) by deleting them in Parallels before you uninstall it, or by simply deleting folders named parallels wherever you find them. The default location for VM files is in one directory per VM under
    ~/library/parallels
(where ~ is your home directory /users/yourusername)

So no, IMHO, it isn't hard to uninstall. Nor do you have to uninstall it to install bootcamp unless you are low in disk space.
