Has anyone had any luck getting sound to work with a (Windows XP host) (Fedora Core 5 guest) combo? Other than that, everything else that I care about seems to work just fine. Incidentally, in case someone else runs into this, I was earlier having troubles with a SuSE 9.2 guest. Networking wouldn't work when I selected a "Linux/SuSE" VM image. By chance, I tried again but instead chose a "Linux/Other Linux" VM image to start with and networking magically started working. Anyway, anyone have any sound card suggestions? Thanks, ...Bill
I am having the same problem with sound, suse 10.1 host and win xp guest. Same problem with different linux guests as well. Installed parallels in pclinux and SLED 10.0, no sound with any combination. don
To reply to myself, I find that I do have sound this morning. My sound problem showed up with a virgin Fedora Core 5 installation. Last night I kicked off and full package update, and after rebooting today sound appeared. ...Bill
Hmmm... I've no sound in all my Linux clients under 2.2beta (WinXP SP2 host). I had no probs with sound support in PW 2.1. -Chris
The sound problem seems to only be with the linux 2.2 beta. I have installed the windows 2.2 beta,on the same computer, with both linux and windows guests and the sound works fine. don
Nope! As I wrote before - I have no sound at all in PW 2.2 beta on Windows XP host. :-( In 2.1 there were no problems at all. -Chris.
