1970 update-- will I have to reinstall Windows XP?

    I just got the automatic download of the 1970 update, but I'm afraid to install it, because my windows XP discs and codes are about 2500 miles away. Does anyone know if I'll need those to update?

    No you won't need them.
    But if you want to feel extra safe, why not clone or backup your virtual machine (.hdd file(s) and .pvs file(s)) first?
