This is still a problem, been 3 months. This and the Steam launch problem has been not a good experience lately.
I just used Apple's Time Machine to restore Parallels to yesterday when it was on Version 26.2.2 (57373) and what do you know, Steam is working...
Can confirm this just happened to me and now I'm here. I was only able to get Steam to launch in Safe Mode, but of course this isn't helpful....
Also if it helps, the Windows 10 VM shows 100% CPU usage in the toolbar along the top of the VM window:
I'm getting this same problem, Windows 10 host, Apple Hypervisor, Parallels 16. I have to restart my entire MBP just to get Parallels to open...
