    Also, I just did a clean install of El Capitan using the recovery partition and it worked fine. (I still have the other VM which is failing upgrade)

    I have the same problem.. Is my VM done for or is there a way to fix it? I have a lot of work I would like to not lose.. I have crashplan running...
