    When I run XP in fullscreen mode and try to use "alt+tab" to switch between applications, the only thing that happens is that I see the icons on...

    You don't have buy anything if you already own a copy. Just download the beta and install it - you existing license will just work. -BT

    cannot switch desktop ... while using parallels fulllscreen

    I have the same problem. I have to 'ctrl+alt' to go into windowed mode before I can switch desktops. :(
