This OS installs fine and even Parallels Tools installs fine. After that point the mouse cursor disappears and the system is unusable.

To solve this problem download the Mint 17 ISO file again. There's a second version (v2) available that solves it.

I also have the same problem. Alt GR key is not working properly on any Linux virtual machine I have tried (with Unity, Gnome 3 or MATE).
