    ...and FYI, it turns out that in Parallels Desktop v9 this has been fixed; you no longer need to uncheck "show battery status" in Solaris VMs...

    Hi Samir, In the VM configuration, under "Options" and the "Optimization" page, make sure that "Show battery status in Solaris" is UNCHECKED....
