    Did you install Ubuntu as a manual one where Parallels Tools wasn't installed in the process? That seemed to work for me.

    Coherence Mode in PD7 with OS X 10.8 does not work

    Coherence only is available if you have Parallels Tools installed in the VM. I too am running PD7 + OS 10.8 and have access to Coherence mode....
