I was having lots of problems with a CAD program running extremely slowly (here), and I stumbled on the answer by accident - the program works perfectly as soon as I unplugged the second display.

I don't have "Use multiple displays" ticked in the Coherence prefs, so that's not it.

Is this a known problem? Are there any workarounds? (2 monitors are extremely convenient)

    Thanks in advance for suggestions.

    Hello,

please, try to increase video memory for the VM. Will it help?

    Sorry to hijack the thread.

I'm also using a memory intensive 3D CAD program and have tried to increase the video memory, but this causes the Windows XP VM to only boot in safe mode.

I am using 16mb, but would like to allocate as much as possible. Why can I not increase the video memory?
